1. What Karpenter is
Karpenter is a marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers. Karpenter is not the provider of the services listed and does not employ providers. Providers are solely responsible for the work they perform.
2. Bookings and payments
Bookings show the quoted service price plus the Karpenter service fee. Online card payments are not yet enabled, so payment is settled directly between the customer and the provider after the job. When card payments launch, your method will be authorized at booking and captured on completion, and these terms will be updated before that change takes effect.
3. Cancellations
Customers may cancel a booking from the Bookings page before the scheduled start time. Providers who cancel repeatedly may be removed from the marketplace.
4. Provider obligations
Providers confirm they hold any licences and insurance required for their trade, that listed pricing is accurate, and that they will honour confirmed bookings.
5. Liability
Karpenter provides the platform “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Karpenter is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from services booked through the marketplace.
